Kathford National Conference on Civil Engineering (KNCCE- 2019) kick off

Kathford International College of Engineering and Management, Lalitpur, Nepal successfully hosted and organized the First Kathford National Conference on Civil Engineering at Godavari Village Resort, Lalitpur, Nepal on 28th Chaitra, 2075 (11th  April, 2019).


This conference is a national level civil engineering conference which focuses on providing a common platform for all civil engineering aspirants and researchers to share their ideas and views with the rest of the worlds. This conference aims to bring together students, research scholars and academicians from all walk of life who are involved in the field of Civil Engineering and present their papers and share information on their research and its findings.

More than 40 researchers, professors, and students attended the conference from different Engineering colleges. The opening ceremony was followed by one keynote talk and two technical sessions. The inauguration ceremony of the conference begin with lighting of flame by Mr. Suman Katawal, Chairman, Kathford International College of Engineering and Management and Professor Toran Bahadur Karki (Patron, Kathford), Former Vice Chancellor of Purbanchal University, and Associate Professor Dr. Madhu Sudan Kayastha (Principal, Kathford), including a welcome speech by the Editor-in-Chief of the conference, Dr. Indra Prasad Acharya, the overview of conference by Er. Bibek Raj Shrestha, Head of department (Civil Engineering) and the research motto of Kathford by Mr. Suman Katawal, Chairman, Kathford International College of Engineering and Management.

The inauguration session was followed by a keynote talk by Prof. Dr. Narendra Man Shakya from the Department of Civil Engineering, Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, Kathmandu, Nepal, highlighted tools for decision making in planning of Civil Engineering System.

The technical sessions were chaired by Prof. Dr. Gokarna Bahadur Motra (Campus chief, Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, Kathmandu, Nepal) and Dr. Indra Prasad Acharya, Academic Advisor (Department of Civil Engineering) and Editor-in-Chief of the conference where total 12 paper were presented in the different field of Civil Engineering.

Together with paper presenter Associate Professor Dr. Mahesh Chandra Luintel (Academic Support Advisor, Kathford), Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, and all department head and faculty member of Kathford were present in the conference.
